Interestingly, Michael Jordan said he didn’t actually count how many times he’s been trusted with the game winning shot to have missed it. Still, it’s a powerful thing to here from ultimate Alpha Dog. Hear him say it in his own words:

Gotta love the Jordan quote, it’s one of my favorite ever. Although…the first one is pretty awesome in its own right.
True! I’ve shown this video numerous times while making presentations. It really is one of the best to have in your back pocket!
I live the Michael Jordan quote as well. It reminds me of General George Patton’s: Courage is fear holding on a minute longer.
Wow that’s an interesting quote. How do you interpret it?
The problem I have with the Jordan quote is that it ignores the fact of how many shots he has made, how many games he has one, how many game winning shots he has made mixed in with those failures.
I find the list of Abraham Lincoln’s failures to be more inspiring because, unlike Jordan, they came BEFORE he went on to become one of the most important Presidents in American history.
Right. But he had to be willing to miss those shots and lose those games in order to score the points and take the victories that he had. Without his failures he never could have succeeded.
My point was that the failures were mixed in with the successes. It’s not like he missed 29 game-winning shots in a row before making the first one.
YES. And it is all true. Failure is a good thing when we learn from it…love it..
