Ever wonder the difference between a trip that you and your buddies take and a trip your girl and her friends take? Well there are some major differences that you might not be aware of. Girls spend way less money than guys on a vacation. Not only do they eat and drink less than men, but other men buy them things without the girls even having to say a word. They just walk buy night clubs and get asked to come in for free drinks on the house or sent a round of shots while they are at dinner. There have been times my wife and her friends have had entire tabs picked up by men just because they are pretty. We men on the other hand have to pay to get into every club, once we get into the club we have to pay more than $10 for one drink or bottle service for $200 a guy. Not to mention anyone ever picks up our tabs at restaurants.
Aside from the free drinks and meals women get on girls trips, they also have a different idea of daytime fun. Ladies love to go to brunch and a two to three hour long brunch with mimosa and conversation is a great start to a vacation day for girlfriends. We men on the other hand like to sleep in and skip brunch due to our hangover, or get up early and hit the golf course and/or lay by the pool until the rest of our crew wakes up. It’s a completely different kind of morning fun had on these vacations.
Of course girl’s trips include beach and pool time, but their beach and pool time is in fancy cabanas with catered food, and our pool time is sitting at the swim up bar doing shots. Women love to see theatrical shows on vacation, buying tickets Britney Spears in Las Vegas or seeing the cruise ship nightly shows are a highlight of their vacations. For men we enjoy them with our wives but as a group of guys, we would prefer to spend our after dinner hours at a casino or pub watching a game.
Vacations are great no matter who you are with or where you go, but it is interesting how different they can be when your with only your male friends as opposed to with your wife, other couples or whole family.
