Auction Site Alternative: Cut Down the Wait Time of Selling Stuff Online

Hey Gents—want an easy way to make some cash? I’ve got three ideas for you to chew on. Two of them I’m sure you’ve heard of. The third is a new option I just found out about. Take a look!

1. eBay

I know a fellow blogger who’s making over $20,000 a year with her eBay business. Impressive, right? To even think about it sounds time consuming. But people are really doing it. And you don’t have to own an eBay business to sell some stuff of yours.

Furniture, records, TVs, appliances, almost anything can be sold on eBay. In fact, back when Gmail first came out I received 10 invites to the closed beta stage. I was selling these invites on eBay for $20-$40 apiece! Get creative with the type of stuff you can sell online.

2. Amazon

Amazon, Alibris and similar “bookish” sites (well, that’s at least how they started) are a great place to unload stuff you are storing up. Simply create a seller account, upload what you’re selling, and see if a buyer comes to you. It’s not hard and you only have to pay a small fee on things you sell. You can even charge a bit more for shipping and handling to make up the difference in your prepping labor (just don’t be the jerk who charges $15!)

3. MusicMagPie.com

Want cash for your CDs, DVDs, and old video games? Do you want cash and don’t want to have to wait for an auction to start and end? Check out MusicMagPie.com. You can easily get rid of your CDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays and video games. It’s easy to set up, and you know what you’re going to get. It truly cuts out the guesswork and wait time associated with auction sites like eBay and Amazon.
