Fearless Men’s Weekly Round-Up | September 20, 2012

This week I read 2 articles that really resonated with me that I want to share with our Fearless Men readers. The first one talks about the relationships between 2 people whether they be friends, strangers or family. When I first saw the title and it said, “11 Things…..” I didn’t feel like reading it. When I think it’s going to be numbered or bulleted I don’t expect “deep” content. And although it isn’t a wordy article Marc nails it on the head with how we should be intentional and relational with others.

The 2nd article is about Cheating. Most people don’t want to talk about it and when we do everyone has a different standard. What I like about this article is that he touches on Emotional Cheating and how it really is cheating. Relationships are built on commitment and trust. First comes the commitment and then over time you show your word means something. Only then can trust really be built on a good foundation.

Naturally, these 2 awesome articles are listed first in this weeks Fearless Men Round-Up. Enjoy!

11 Things Everyone Needs You to Know by Marc @Marc and Angel Hack Life

“A silhouette of a human being stands before you. Perhaps an old friend.  Perhaps a neighbor.  Perhaps a perfect stranger, like me. Here are 11 things we all need you to keep in mind…”  The whole list was good but my favorite was #3 – “Compassion comes back around.”

Cheating On The Dating Scene…Twice! by JasonRyze over @Alden-Tan

“Cheating’s a touchy subject, kinda taboo, and people don’t really wanna talk about it. Sure, they wanna complain about it, but they don’t wanna get to the root of it.” In this article Jason gets to the root of it though….Respect, Integrity and I’m going to add loving others as you want to be loved yourself.

4 Steps to Reaching Any of Your Goals by Paul @Paul Jolicoeur’s Blog

How to Kick Your Caffeine Addiction and Actually Enjoy Your Coffee Again by Alan Henry @LifeHacker

This one I enjoyed because I actually gave up coffee about 2 weeks ago. I quit cold turkey and switched to tea or juice in the mornings. I feel great too! I want to get to a point where I enjoy the coffee during lunch or dinner and not have to drink it for the caffeine.

9 Tips to Graduate College Without the Chains of Debt by Jon the Saver @Free Money Wisdom

I’m thankful to not have any student debt and part of the reason I don’t is the advice I received from others. I didn’t go into it naively thinking the universe will take care of me because I’m a good person. We have to be responsible with our education and that includes being educated on finances and student loans.

  1. Thanks for the share, John! My wife and I were recently doing a Bible study through Proverbs and talked about adultery. When it comes down to it, adultery/cheating/being faithful in general can happen in many different ways: it can be ignoring your spouse because you’re too busy watching TV, it could be thinking about another woman, it could be not giving her the emotional support she needs, etc.

    • Np, Jason! Although it was Todd who found yours. I love Proverbs! I totally agree with you and I think it’s important for men to study these things to get a thorough understanding. Often times we say “we know”, when we really know nothing. But by deceiving ourselves we then don’t have the motivation to go learn until it’s too late.

  2. Thanks for sharing my post John. It’s always an honor to get mentioned on such a great blog. Keep up the great work guys.
