Fearless Men’s Weekly Round-Up | October 18th, 2012

Fearless MenWhat a week it has been! This past weekend for the first time in my life I saw the Blue Angels put on an airshow. I was actually a bit surprised I’d never seen them cosidering I grew up near military bases and also spent 4 years in the Army. It’s never too late though! The Golden Knights also put on a show and had flairs or something attached so when they were parachuting down it looked like they had jetpacks attached.

Did anyone see Fearless Felix break the record for free falling? You know,  the guy who jumped from the stratosphere this past weekend? The first and only person to break Mach 1 with their body. I think that earns him a spot in History’s Fearless Men.

This week we got some articles on How to Dress, Cooking Chili Effortlessly, Fighting over Money, Credit Score and more. Take a gander!

Identity Theft in America – What States Carry the Highest Risk by Chris @ Stumble Forward

I think the majority of Americans think of Identity Theft as a crisis that only happens to strangers. While the chance of it happening to you is probably 1 in a million it’s still better to have an idea of where you fall in the danger scale and how to mitigate the risk.

Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I’ll be writing on Army Cadences. If you’ve never served and if you have I think they’ll crack you up.

Comments

  1. Thanks a lot for the mention John. The video from the free fall was awesome. I can’t even image what that must have felt like for him.

  2. Nice round up John. Also I want to thank you for including my article about identity theft in America. Thanks.

  3. John,

Thanks for the mention. Fearless Felix was amazing & I was impressed by the way, after all he went through, he landed on his feet.

Are you going with the Yankees or the Tigers?

    • Well, I’m a Cubs fan so I guess I should go with the losing team huh? Haha! I’m rooting for the Tigers because I want to see Verlander win a WS. I also don’t like teams that buy their championships. What team you rooting for?

      • I grew up as a Yankee fan, but I really like the way Verlander pitches.

I hope the Yanks remember to bring their bats with them today.

        • Todd Mayfield says

I would just like to interject that the Yankees, Patriots, and Lakers are all enemies of the State.

          • The Yankees, Patriots, and Lakers are just the cosmic karmic balance for the Cubs (sorry John), the Browns and the Suns.

Without this crucial balance, the universe would constantly be leaning to the starboad side.

          • Np Terry, they’ll be swapping soon and balance is kept. Starting with Cubs and Yankees…..google it. True story! haha

          • John,

I don’t think the cosmic karmic balance will allow that to happen.

FYI, I heard that if the Cubs moved to the Philippines they’d be called the Manila Folders.

          • Haha! Good one! I heard the Yankees are getting into another form of entertainment and are called The Choke Artists. 🙂

          • Haha. That’s a good joke!

        • It’s not looking good right now. 6-0 bottom of the fifth. You guys got quite a few WS titles in the last decade. If I was over 100 years old I’d have one. ha!

  4. You guys are awesome for including my post! 🙂 I hear office politics can be pretty adventuresome though.
