Some dads do a great job teaching their sons about what it means to be a man, others… not so much. If your dad wasn’t around to teach you how to be a man, or maybe just wasn’t much of a talker, today’s blog with 30 of the things he should’ve taught you about being a man will help. Enjoy.
- Never throw the first punch. In fact, unless someone is an immediate threat to you or a loved one, just walk away.
- Don’t let little things bother you. You can always tell the size of a man by looking at the types of things that bother him.
- Learn how to listen. Talking about your self is okay, but listening while others talk is a more important skill.
- When you meet someone for the first time, look them right in the eye. There’s nothing worse then a man who averts his gaze when meeting someone or shaking hands for the first time, or any time for that matter.
- Never change who you are just to make someone else happy. In the end, both of you will be unhappy.
- Find the thing that you are most passionate about in life and make that your profession.
- Confidence is something that you learn with time. If you don’t have it, fake it until you do.
- If you have a family, you need to have life insurance.
- Before you end up needing a plunger, buy one.
- No matter what your mood, always hold your head up high in public.
- Never, ever let the little head in your pants do the thinking for the big head on top of your shoulders.
- Exercise regularly. It makes you feel great when you’re younger and will keep you younger a lot longer.
- Women find confidence a lot more sexy than hair.
- Make a habit out of calling your mom and dad every week to say hello.
- You must have at least one incredible pair of shoes in your wardrobe.
- Whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability.
- Real men can play games with their children.
- Never go out in public looking like you just crawled out of bed.
- Being a man isn’t just about being able to take care of yourself, but being able to take care of others as well.
- Buy the best, highest quality tools. That will keep you from having to buy them again.
- Always take complete responsibility for your actions.
