Do It Yourself Non Toxic Hair Wax

Are you sick of paying an exorbitant amount for a hair product when you only get a tiny amount?  I know that American Crew can run you at least $15-16 a jar and it only lasts a few months!  Let’s not even mention the toxic ingredients that they put in these pricey waxes.  So, if you could would you make your own non toxic hair wax in order to lessen the burden on your wallet?  I know I would!

This DIY hair wax is made with essential oils, coconut oil (which has hundreds of amazing uses and benefits!), shea butter and beeswax!

1

First, here is what you’ll need to start making this amazing wax:

  • .75 oz of beeswax
  • .5 oz of shea butter
  • .75 oz fractionated coconut oil
  • 10 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 10 drops rosemary essential oil

Handy dandy tip: depending on how hard or soft you want the consistency of your wax you will need to modidy the recipe a bit.  For harder wax use 1 oz of beeswax and .5 oz of fractionated coconut oil.  However, if you want softer hair wax, use .75 oz of shea butter and 1 oz of fractionated coconut oil.
