How about a vacation to some Mediterranean Cities?

The Mediterranean is full of gorgeous, paradisaical islands offering tranquility and glorious beaches. Throw on some swim suits and jump into the clear blue water. The living is easy and so is the romance whether you’re a brand new shiny couple or weathered soul mates. So where is the best spot for your vacation?

Here are two of our favorites:

Santorini, Greece

Picture-perfect Santorini is your archetypal Greek island complete with white-washed buildings and blue domed roofs. The village of Oía has the monopoly on the best location for sunsets and you must check it out. Visit one of the many vineyards on the island to taste Santorini wines. You’ll also find jewellery shops in the town of Megalochori, oh and plenty of Cycladic churches.

Ibiza, The Balearics

Ibiza is right off the coast of Spain and it may not seem like the obvious romantic destination, but it depends on your idea of romance. If losing yourself on the dance floor with your significant other is your idea of bliss, then the lively Ibiza Town is romance-central.

However if you favour wandering hand-in-hand through quaint streets, taking long leisurely lunches and absorbing as much history as possible, Ibiza can still deliver. You just need to know where to look.

Head to the medieval hilltop town of D’Alt Vila. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is surrounded by 22m-high stone walls. The district of Sa Penya lines your ascent from the harbor with bars, restaurants and shops tucked away in its tiny streets.

A cheap holiday to one of these Mediterranean cities will relax the soul and give you a good break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
