Football season has started and although it kicked-off a bit disappointing for the Super Bowl Champ NY Giants, my Chicago Bears made a season opening statement with a win over the Colts and their new prized rookie QB Andrew Luck. 15 pts, 3 sacks, 3 interceptions and 2 fumbles. Tomorrow night my favorite rivalry – Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers – kicks off at 530 PST and you know what I’ll be doing. I’ll have to keep the trash talking to a minimum though cause the past couple years the more I talk the more I get it handed back in the form of a loss.
So lets roll right into this weeks Round-Up!
Teachers on Strike: Should They Get Paid More? by TB @Blue Collar Workman
Both my Uncle and Aunt are teachers in Wisconsin and are grossly underpaid. It is almost like the city and it’s people are saying they don’t value the price of education. This is my highly suggested read this week if this topic gets you boiling also.
Are You Ready to Commit to Buying a Home by Jon the Saver @Free Money Wisdom
“Deciding to get on the property ladder is probably one of the biggest, if not the biggest financial decision you will make in your lifetime and not one you should consider lightly. So before you take the plunge and decide to start looking at houses for sale, have a good think about whether or not you are ready to make the commitment.”
Compare the Best Credit Card Offers by Jeremy @Modest Money
Last week I wrote about the most important things you need to know when it comes to possessing a Credit Card. That’s why I’m recommending Jeremy’s post on comparing the best credit card offers. Don’t just take whatever is offered. Do your research and make an educated decision.

“Imagine what could be done if we had an X-men-like group of the world’s best scientists, independently funded and uninfluenced by industry, tackling the most important questions in nutrition? Starting today, we have such a group: the Nutrition Science Initiative (NuSI).”
5 Personal Foundations to Accelerate Your Personal Development by Mike Slavin @The Feel Good Life Style
“This article is for anyone who, like me, has felt or is feeling disengaged with personal development. It’s also for someone just starting down the road of self-improvement.”
That’s it for this week. Hope you all enjoyed the teacher article by TB because teachers do need our support. If you’d like to get on our Round-Up please let us know.

Thanks for the mention -- man, I LOVE football season! Couldn't be more happy that it's starting!
TB, who is your team?
I don't think you can call any win against the colts this season as a statement game. I guess you might as well brag about the Bears while you can though :) I think we both know they still can't compete with the top tier teams.
Anyways, thanks for the mention and enjoy watching the Bears lose tonight lol.
Haha! You're going to find out tonight that the Bears can play with the best of'm.
I guess we found out that the Bears could 'play' with them...just no way they could actually beat them.
Yea, there wasn't much to be excited about. But no need to worry either. They're just working out some kinks and we'll see how it goes at Soldier Field in 3 months.
