I love the first quote, it's dead on! Fear can be a powerful thing, but there is no need for it to hold us back.
I absolutely agree that there's no bravery in the absence of fear--that's merely stupidity.
Haven't you used that first quote already. I seem to remember talking about the variation that courage isn't the absence of fear but of acting despite the presence of fear.
Haha yeah, really recently actually. It was so great I couldn't resist using it again. I promise you won't see it again for a year!!
The first is resoundingly true. Courage is the capability to overcome your fear and do what needs to be done. I'd rather have a courageous man next to me in a battlefield than a fearless one, the truly fearless seldom make it though a battle (sorry fearless men) :)
Haha, yeah I think inherent in "fearless" is that a person can be full of fear, but faces it without restraint and overcomes it!
