Fearless Men’s Weekly Round-Up | November 1st, 2012

It’s been a big week so far. Our prayers are with everyone east of us being affected by Megastorm Sandy. From the news this moring it looks like they’re picking up the pieces and recovering.

Other news – The SF Giants won the World Series and NBA season kicked off lastnight. Todd’s ecstatic about both. My Chicago Bears came back in the final minutes to close a big gap and then a last second FG to win it. Yesterday I saw an article about a guy who threw a barrier into a bus and lit it on fire after the SF win. The damages estimated to $1m. I don’t get how celebrating means destroying your city. Do I not get it because my Cubs haven’t won the WS in over a century? Ha! Seriously, what’s wrong with some people though? I think this dude needs to read some Fearless Men articles and grow up.

For the rest of us though who aren’t vandalizing our cities here are some articles I rounded up over the past week. Enjoy!

Kindergarten Cop by Mike

We learn a lot in Kindergarten like “Sharing is caring”, “Listen respectfully” and so on. But what about keeping our word? Where did the worth of a man’s word go? S0 many men talk a big game and don’t follow up. Mike’s article is short and sweet but to the point about trying to win your girl back if you lost her because your word is useless. 1. Thanks for the list guys, you have given us some great articles to read here!

    • Thanks Paul! Just ready your article on Sandy and totally agree that being prepared is very important. Too often we get stuck in comfort and don’t see the urgency of preparing before it’s too late.

  2. Big thanks again on the mention! It was a great World Series by the Giants and the Panda dominated! The Bears are also pretty lucky and I hate the Cubs. 🙂 Go Cardinals!

    • I see how you snuck that “lucky” in there. haha! Bears D for decades has been what all NFL teams aspire to be. Don’t get me started on the Cardinals! 🙂

  3. Haha, you’re awesome dudes! Thanks for the, like, awesome mention 🙂

  4. Thanks for the mention John!

  5. I also look forward to Jason’s recipes, but the Cardinals mention is repulsive.Although we got swept in four games, at least my team made it to the World Series. Thanks for mentioning our Planwise tool!

    • Yes you guys did! I can’t remember the last time my Cubs made it. I was disappointed with Verlander though. Todd’s a Giants fan so we watched/blogged over the first game. I got Verlander on my fantasy team and he consistently had quality starts over the season. I expected more from him in game 1.

  6. Thanks so much for the inclusion this week. I really appreciate it. The Bears defence is doing awesome this year. My mother has them on her fantasy team and they are kicking butt.
